Give specific timelines on political plans

Jamaica Gleaner - - OPINION & COMMENTARY -

THE EDITOR, Sir: DEAR ESTEEMED Councillor and Madam MP,

We appreciated your coming to the Golden Spring Citizens’ Association meetings in the weeks leading up to the last general election to explain what to expect should we vote.

Likewise, given the imminent local government elections, we request a flyer or other document setting out clearly, giving timelines, your programme for restoring infrastructure to the constituency, and, specifically, the Golden Spring community of West Rural St Andrew.

As locals, we want to participate in the decision-making processes for local government and local management of our resources.

We look forward to these documents, particularly as the November 28 election date approaches. DERRICK D. SIMON President, Golden Spring Citizens’ Association derrickdsimon@ya
