Jamaica Gleaner - - SOCIALI -

THE VETERAN sports icon and 4x400 metre World champion, Sandie Richards, said ‘I do’ to long-time partner Bobby Pickett on Saturday, November 5, at the five-star resort, the Jewel Dunn’s River Resort & Spa, Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

The ceremony was an intimate and spectacular one – overlooking the ocean, that features a pictureperfect scenery – intermingled with instrumental music by popular Jamaican musicians Cat Coore of Third World, saxophonist Tony Greene and pianist Robbie Lyn. The couple celebrated with family and friends, some of whom are affiliated with the sports fraternity and the political arena.

Sandie Richards, with hubby Bobby Pickett by her side, shared: “We feel really blessed to be joined as husband and wife. Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for.”

Love, they say, is so beautiful when you marry the one you truly love. Sandie’s hubby showed that he’s not only handsome and a gentleman on the outside, but also on the inside, as his heartwarming speech to his wife at the altar brought tears to the eyes of some of the guests.

In his touching speech, Bobby Pickett shared: “Sandie, I swear I will honour and respect you. I promise to listen to you with my ears and with my heart. I promise to love you, no matter how we change and grow together. I vow to fulfil your emotional needs, and I promise to show you I love you
