AYEAR has gone by, but we still re­mem­ber Mon­signor’s stri­dent ap­peal to his Stella Maris Church com­mu­nity to give of their time, ta­lent and trea­sure. He led by example: his found­ing of the St Pa­trick’s Foun­da­tion and sup­port of St Mon­ica’s Home stand out among his achieve­ments. In time, the Stella Maris Church com­mu­nity were pulled in by his charis­matic ap­proach and the Stella Maris Foun­da­tion was the re­sult.

We con­tinue to feel his pres­ence and guid­ance as we serve the needs of the Grant’s Pen and sur­round­ing com­mu­ni­ties through skills train­ing, in con­junc­tion with the Heart Trust; and coun­selling, with the help of the univer­sity, where we also pro­vide a medium Mon­signor Richard Al­bert is pre­sented with a ci­ta­tion by ProComm’s Jean Lowrie-Chin dur­ing Stella Maris’ 10th an­niver­sary cel­e­bra­tion at which he was hon­oured in April 2008.

We are al­ways com­forted

be­cause we know that he con­tin­ues his ap­peal for our suc­cess from the lofty heights above.
