Dedicated to discipline, committed to success

Jamaica Gleaner - - INTERNATIONAL NEWS -

SEPTEMBER 2007 marked the genesis of change in the educational landscape of Troy and her environs with the opening of Troy High School. Under the astute leadership of Mr Linvern Wright and Mrs Mahvell Charlton-Brown, as well as their cadre of dedicated staff members, the educational odyssey blossomed with the school serving as the premise on which the very destiny of the community hinges.

The rapid, explosive pace at which knowledge is transmitted in the 21st century demands that educational and knowledge practitioners adjust and adopt new approaches, both to teaching and learning information. The last few years have witnessed a fresh impetus in our academic offerings, extra-curricular activities and vocational choices. Our board of governors, senior management team, senior staff, teachers, ancillary, administrative staff and the general student governance groups have collaborated in carefully crafting policy directives to effectively mould Troy High School into a total quality institution. We have proudly branded our school the ‘Therapeutic Centre’, which is ‘dedicated to discipline, committed to success’. We place our faith, confidence and trust in the omniscience of God as we strive for even
