Carpets inside Carpets

Azeris are incredibly proud of their carpet-making traditions, and the finest and oldest examples of carpet weaving are displayed at the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum. Opened in 2014, the museum is housed in an extraordinary building, the shape of which is inspired by a rolled-up carpet. The architecture is just as fascinating as the exhibits, and arguably more photogenic.
