Gwangju World Kimchi Festival
Kimchi is a Korean speciality and famous national dish included on the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage. There are over 200 different types and its popularity spreads much further than South Korea, and the Kimchi Festival attracts tourists and gourmets from around the world. You can join in and make kimchi yourself and then take it home with you. Over 40 different activities are planned, including concerts, national games and bus tours. Visitors will get the chance to try the different varieties of kimchi that come from every region in the country.
