Ma­ter­nity cen­tres have no staff: Study

Ma­ter­nity fa­cil­i­ties in Nakuru county are the most hit by staff short­age, a pre­lim­i­nary re­port by the Nakuru health task­force in­di­cates. The task­force is led by for­mer Eger­ton Univer­sity vicechan­cel­lor James Tuitoek. “We have an over sup­ply of ma­ter­nity fa­cil­i­ties but most of them are idle. For ex­am­ple, in So­lai, we found a fully equipped ma­ter­nity with no sin­gle worker,” said
