Ichung’wa wants MPS given se­cu­rity

Kikuyu MP Ki­mani Ichung’wa wants MPS pro­vided with body­guards as re­quired un­der par­lia­men­tary priv­i­leges say­ing that ma­jor­ity of the newly mem­bers were yet to be al­lo­cated, two months since they were elected. Mr Ichung’wa, who was con­tribut­ing to the Sup­ple­men­tary Ap­pro­pri­a­tion bill yes­ter­day, said that MPS need the re­quired pro­tec­tion to go about their du­ties. He added that pro­test­ers have been pass­ing out­side Par­lia­ment mak­ing it dan­ger­ous for them to be with­out se­cu­rity.
