Re­lief as gov­ern­ment re­pairs dam­aged bridge

The Kenya Na­tional High­ways Author­ity (Kenha) has re­built Kainuk bridge, which was washed away last Sun­day by floods af­ter Turk­wel River burst its banks. Trans­port ser­vices along the Ki­tale-lo­kichar-lod­war­nada­pal high­way re­sumed Thurs­day evening. Kenha’s as­sis­tant direc­tor of cor­po­rate af­fairs Charles Njogu said that “sub­stan­tial rock fill and gravel back­fill has been un­der­taken”. The road con­nects to South Su­dan.
