Nairobi bourse charity trade raises over Sh6m

Daily Nation (Kenya) - - BUSINESS - – James Kariuki

Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) raised more than Sh6 million from its third annual charity trading day yesterday. That brings the total amount from the annual event in the last three years to Sh19 million. The interactive NSE Charity Trading Day brings together known personalities to make calls to clients on behalf of dealers while encouraging them to make trades. The capital market players also take the opportunity to address some of the challenges that plague society as a whole. “Through initiatives like the Charity Trading Day we are able to provide a link between people, planet and profit,” said the NSE Chief Executive Geoffrey Odundo.
