Life and times of Bishop Korir
Born on 7th July, 1960 in Segutiet Village, Segutiet Parish, Kericho Diocese, Bomet County. Between 1969 and 1980: Attended Chesoen and Segutiet Primary schools
1986: Completed his secondary education at Mother of Apostles Minor Seminary, Eldoret.
1987: Joined St. Augustine Major Seminary, Bungoma where he graduated with Diploma in Philosophy and religious studies in 1988
1982: Proceeded to St. Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary,
Nairobi for another Diploma in Theology
1989: Attained a Licentiate (Masters) Degree in Sacred Theology from St. Patrick College, Maynooth, Ireland.
Baptized on 8th September, 1963 at Kaplong Catholic Parish.
7th November, 1982: Ordained as a priest for Nakuru diocese 1982-1987: Served as a priest at Molo and Kituro parishes Between 1988 and 1989: Diocesan vocation director of Nakuru diocese and Episcopal Vocar of Kericho Deanery
April 28th ,1990: Appointed bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Eldoret October, 30, 2018: Bishop Korir dies aged 78 after serving at Eldoret Catholic Diocese for 28 years.
