Since in­de­pen­dence, judges, for the most part, have not dis­tin­guished them­selves, ei­ther for their learn­ing or in­tegrity. In re­cent months, the Chief Jus­tice has of­ten stated that cor­rup­tion has crept back in the Ju­di­ciary. It is vi­tal there­fore that, in the on­go­ing ‘ju­di­cial ac­tivism' con­ver­sa­tion, judges don't lose them­selves in am­bi­gu­i­ties of rule of law viz-a-viz sep­a­ra­tion of pow­ers.
