Rotana brand en­ters Tan­za­nia mar­ket with five star ho­tel in Dar es Salaam

Mid­dle East-based Rotana Ho­tel Man­age­ment Cor­po­ra­tion is set to en­ter Tan­za­nia at the end of the year through its Tsh72 bil­lion ($32 mil­lion) worth newly built 256-room Five Star ho­tel in Dar es Salaam. The ho­tel, whose name is yet to be made pub­lic, is in its fi­nal stages of con­struc­tion and has 30 floors that will fea­ture shop­ping malls and of­fices. Al­though the build­ing is a joint ven­ture prop­erty owned by Mwal­imu Ny­erere Foun­da­tion and the CRJE Es­tate Ltd, a fully owned sub­sidiary of the China Rail­way Jian­chang En­gi­neer­ing Com­pany, the ho­tel will be man­aged by the Abu Dhabi reg­is­tered Rotana chains of ho­tels.
