Bomb scare forces Egypt-bound Turk­ish Air­lines aero­plane to land in Khar­toum

SU­DAN: A Turk­ish Air­lines aero­plane flying to Egypt from Nairobi was forced to make an emer­gency landing in Khar­toum on Thurs­day, fol­low­ing a bomb scare.

Su­danese Civil Avi­a­tion Author­ity spokesman Ab­dul Hafiz Ab­dul Rahim said that the author­i­ties at the Khar­toum In­ter­na­tional Air­port al­lowed the Boe­ing 738 air­craft with 107 pas­sen­gers to land after the pi­lot no­ti­fied them of a pos­si­ble explosive de­vice on board.

How­ever, no sus­pected explosive de­vice was found on the plane by the ex­perts who evac­u­ated the plane and did a thor­ough search.
