Belly­ach­ing about the sweet taste of money

Hu­man piggy bank? Some bizarre eat­ing habits are lifethreat­en­ing, like that of 35year-old Mak­sud Khan of Mad­hya Pradesh, In­dia. He was re­cently ad­mit­ted to hospi­tal on sus­pi­cions of hav­ing se­vere food poi­son­ing that had given him three months of stom­ach pains. But it turned out that it were the re­sult of hav­ing 7kg of for­eign ob­jects in his belly, in­clud­ing 263 metal coins. The op­er­a­tion re­moved 263 coins, 100 nails, a hefty piece of rusted iron shackle, dozens of razor blades, glass shards, and stones from his stom­ach.
