In a previous interview, Kanu secretary general Nick Salat said the party is ready to compete in the elections and wananchi will decide the most influential party in the Rift Valley. Wiper rebels include John Munuve (Mwingi North), Regina Ndambuki (Kilome) and Joe Mutambu (Mwingi Central). ODM rebels are Budalang’i MP Ababu Namwamba, Funyula’s Paul Otuoma and John Waluke of Sirisia. Rutto said his outfit has a good working relationship with Moi “and no one knows what will happen as 2022 is an open race”. He said they will know if the party will be on the ballot for the top seat or support someone else.
