Jubilee will rely on key pointmen in Rift Valley counties to market the party ahead of 2017. The Jubilee Party to be launched tomorrow has identified individuals who will lead the campaigns from next week. A list seen by the Star indicates the campaign will be coordinated by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, State House political adviser Joshua Kutuny and Nandi Senator Stephen Sang. Others are Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago, his West Pokot counterpart Simon Kachapin and Baringo Central MP Sammy Mwaita. Mandago said they are ready to join Jubilee and market it ahead of 2017. “This is a strong movement and we will go out to explain to Kenyans our agenda for the next 15 years,” Mandago said. A Jubilee MP said each county will be allocated not less than two vehicles to coordinate the campaigns. Keiyo North MP Julius Murgor said they believe marketing the party will ensure it holds free and fair nominations. “Once the nominations are free, we don’t expect any fallouts and Jubilee will be very strong,” Murgor said. Some of the Jubilee insiders told the Star they expect tough competition from Kanu and Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto’s Chama Cha Mashinani.
