Tharaka MP Alex Mwiru (pictured) has said he will support Chuka Igambang’ombe MP Muthomi Njuki for governor. Mwiru spoke on Wednesday at Rubate Chuka Igambang’ombe constituency where he accompanied Njuki for the burial of his relative. He urged residents to support Njuki, saying he has the potential to deliver. “He has initiated development projects in the constituency and if elected governor, he will do more,” Mwiru said. He said if the Chuka community supports the first-time MP, he will comfortably win. “You should stop bickering and support Njuki. He can count on the Tharaka community for support,” Mwiru said. Njuki will run against Governor Samuel Ragwa. Maara MP Kareke Mbiuki supports Ragwa, while Senator Kithure Kindiki and woman rep Beatrice Nkatha support Njuki’s bid.
