Kingi wants Jubilee to implement TJRC report
Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi (pictured) has criticised the government for not implementing the Ndung’u and the Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission reports. He said the two reports mention influential people in Jubilee, who perpetuated historical injustices to Coast people. He addressed residents during the passing out parade of county traffic marshals and beach safety unit teams at Mackwan sports ground on Saturday. Kingi said voting for Jubilee “will be suicidal” for the region. “We have so many problems but Jubilee uses the same to solicit for votes. It has been four years since they took over leadership but are reluctant in addressing the historical injustices at the Coast,” Kingi said. He criticised President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto’s recent visit, where they commissioned the tarmacking of the 110 km Malindi-Sala Gate road. Kingi said such initiatives should not be used to lure voters.
