Asub­uhi go top of Su­per 8 again

The dra­matic jostling for top spot of the SportPesa Su­per 8 Pre­mier League saw Kay­ole Asub­uhi go on top again, thanks to a re­sound­ing 3-1 vic­tory over Baba Dogo United at Baba Dogo grounds.

Baba Dogo were first to hit the tar­get as early as the 7th minute through Rea­gan Ochieng’ who gave the home team the early lead that stood firm the en­tire first half.

But Asub­uhi, who were un­der pres­sure to win the match af­ter de­fend­ing champs TUK and Jeri­cho All Stars won their re­spec­tive matches, were lifted by se­cond half strikes from Brian Ochieng ( 57’) and Justin Wambi ( 70’).

It was To­bias Olum, who rose to the oc­ca­sion to slot in the match win­ner with just ten min­utes re­main­ing in the game, to hand Asub­uhi the win which cat­a­pulted them to the top of the stand­ings with 61 points, a point shy of se­cond-placed TUK, who hit Ajax 7-1. Jeri­cho are ranked third with 59 points.

Je­co­niah Uyoga put up a mav­er­ick per­for­mance, net­ting six goals as in­spire TUK de­mol­ished 10-man AJax 7-1 in a one-sided en­counter.
