Nyandarua woman representative Wanjiku Muhia has said she will support former Kipipiri MP Amos Kimunya for any elective seat in the county. She said Kimunya is a good leader whose development record as MP stands unchallenged.

“Kimunya was my MP. His development record surpasses that of those who were there before him,” Muhia said.

She was speaking during a tour of Tumaini, Kanjuiri and Kaimbaga in Ol Kalou constituency. Muhia donated six tents and 14 wheelchairs bought through the National Government Affirmative Action Fund.

She said the people of Nyandarua want Kimunya back in leadership. “We are ready to elect him to any post in Nyandarua, except woman representative,” she said.

Muhia said she is not afraid that her stand could be opposed by other elected leaders. She said leaders echo what their people say, “and the people of Nyandarua are saying they want Kimunya. Who am I to say otherwise?”

Muhia said Nyandarua does not have leaders to negotiate for its interests at the national level because the voters drop the experienced politicians in favour of fresh ones. She said once the newcomers get into Parliament, they are overshadowed by “the experienced horses” from other regions.
