Hotels must have fresh records or ‘they’ll lose licences’
The government will cancel the licences of hotels, guest houses and entertainment joints in Lamu that do not keep up-to-date records of visitors and prosecute their owners. County commissioner Joseph Kanyiri (pictured) on Tuesday said record keeping improves security and helps in easy identification of criminals. Kanyiri urged residents and guests to cooperate to flush out criminals and keep Lamu safe and peaceful.
