MP Maanzo says Wiper not hurt by defections
Makueni MP Daniel Maanzo (pictured) has downplayed the defection of 10 Ukambani legislators from the opposition to the Jubilee Party. He said the move was of no consequence to area politics. Maanzo spoke at the funeral of a pastor in Nzueni village, Makueni subcounty, on Saturday. “All the MPs have no clout. They know very well that they will lose terribly in the elections, and that is why they decided to quit earlier,” he said. Five MPs from Wiper have moved to JP, headed by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
