Mutua takes Maendeleo Chap Chap countrywide
Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has urged leaders to focus on development and list their achievements before “begging” for votes.
Mutua visited Nakuru town at the weekend to popularise his Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement.
“We are going to take it all over the country. Our success stories will be duplicated and implemented countrywide,” he said.
“The people should receive the development they deserve. Politicising issues without development is unacceptable.”
Mutua said Maendeleo Chap Chap is not a tribal party. He began his countrywide tour in Kisii before heading to Kericho and Nakuru.
“Governors, MPs and MCAs are just asking for political seats without showing what they have done during their tenure. What will they will do if reelected? They are asleep on the job instead of working for the people,” he said.
Mutua said at least two youths should be appointed as IEBC officials. “The majority of people in this country are the young. We have youths with experience. They need to be included in nation building.”
