Starehe woman denies stabbing ‘husband snatcher’
A woman was yesterday charged with assaulting a barmaid and claiming she stole her husband.
Judy Ndila allegedly stabbed Vaati Nzangi, 22, on September 6 in Starehe. Ndila accused Nzangi of being in an intimate relationship with her husband and that she buys him drinks to win him over.
During the argument, Ndila allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed her. Ndila is later said to have clobbered her with a rungu, injuring her eye. Nzangi also sustained deep cuts on the head and shouted for help. Neigbhours alerted police on patrol who rescued Nzangi and took her to hospital.
Ndila denied the charges before principal magistrate Eveline Olwande and was released on Sh20,000 bail.
The case will be mentioned on September 28.
