KAA to remit staff dues owed to union
The Kenya Airports Authority has been directed to remit its employees’ dues owed to the Kenya Aviation Workers’ Union.
Employment and Labour Relations Court judge Hellen Wasilwa ordered the authority to deduct union dues from its employees in job grade five who have signed the check-off forms. Wasilwa said KAA should not deny the said members of staff in job grade five the benefits and increments provided for within a CBA registered in 2015.
Kawu filed the case to have KAA compelled to deduct union dues from the union members. It said the eligibility of the said staff stems from the CBA between the applicants and respondent.
