State must protect and educate kids living with HIV-Aids
Adolescent boys and girls living with the HIV-Aids virus have for a long time faced stigmatisation in society. Very little has been done to protect them. On many occasions, they have been left without counselling and education about their conditions or status. They end up feeling discriminated against and victimised. The government needs to come up with programmes that will ensure these children are counselled, educated and taken care of healthwise. There is need to make them feel part of society and understand that living with the virus is not the end of their lives.
