Engineers must ensure roads meet global standards

The Star (Kenya) - - Voices -

Road engineers are to blame for the shoddy job on our roads. It is common to find many roads with extraordinaryly big bumps, which are a preserve for offroad vehicles. Many of these roads lack essential signboards and markings, thus making it very difficult for the drivers to follow road rules. Our roads must adopt internationally accepted guidelines to prevent accidents. This does not demand much besides following the right procedures in road construction. Engineers should stop being greedy and spend well on their work.
