MCAs HECK­LED, IN­SULTED FOR DE­FY­ING RAILA LAST YEAR

Res­i­dents and ac­tivists in May last year locked MCAs out of the assem­bly over their per­sis­tent wran­gles. More than 200 youths hurled in­sults at MCAs Josephat Otiende (South West Kisumu), Jack­ton Onunga (Nyal­enda A) and Gabriel Ochieng’ (Kon­dele) and sus­pended ma­jor­ity leader Samuel Ong’ow. They ac­cused them of de­fy­ing Cord leader Raila Odinga’s po­si­tion that deputy speaker Pamela Omino act as the speaker fol­low­ing Anne Adul’s exit. Adul was sus­pended over cor­rup­tion al­le­ga­tions. She was cleared by the court in March last year.
