EVANS KIDERO Waives ar­ti­sans’ land rates

The Nairobi Gov­er­nor has said the county will waive land rates of about Sh1 bil­lion owed to it by jua kali ar­ti­sans as­so­ci­a­tions and en­gage the Lands min­istry and the Na­tional Land Com­mis­sion to re­voke ti­tle deeds is­sued fraud­u­lently. He said they will be reg­is­tered un­der the as­so­ci­a­tions’ names. See page 27

JOHANSEN ODUOR At­tack­ers’ post­mortem de­layed

The state yesterday de­layed in­def­i­nitely the post­mortems on three women slain in what po­lice call a ter­ror­ist at­tack at Mom­basa’s Cen­tral po­lice sta­tion. The gov­ern­ment pathol­o­gist said trans­port lo­gis­tics have de­layed the post­mortem ex­pected to be car­ried out this week. He did not give a new date. See page 30

HAS­SAN OMAR Told to show Sh390m Joho home

Mom­basa MCAs have chal­lenged the sen­a­tor to show res­i­dents the al­leged Sh390 mil­lion res­i­dence Gov­er­nor Has­san Joho is putting up for him­self. On Mon­day, Omar said the money was set aside in this year’s Sh9.9 bil­lion bud­get. The MCAs ac­cused the sen­a­tor of ma­lign­ing Joho to win vot­ers’ hearts in his bid for gov­er­nor. See page 31
