TWO RIVAL GROUPS CLASHED
During the chaos, a group led by five parliamentary aspirants claimed it had obtained a permit to conduct a roadshow to popularise JP and open the office in Kandara town. Another group allied to area MP Alice Wahome confronted them, saying an office already exists in the town and only needs to be rebranded. Elungata said the government will not condone politicians who disrupt public gatherings. He said they will be arrested and charged. In June, a group of business people and clerics demanded that politicians who make hateful remarks be punished.
