URP for­mer of­fi­cial says will chal­lenge Gover­nor Kib­wana

A mem­ber of Ju­bilee Party’s in­terim com­mit­tee and for­mer URP sec­re­tary gen­eral has an­nounced he will vie for Makueni gover­nor. “For now, Kivutha Kib­wana is the gover­nor of Makueni. But when the po­si­tion will be de­clared va­cant, Ju­bilee will have a can­di­date to bat­tle it out with him, and I be­lieve I am the right can­di­date, and, by all means, I will win,” Fred Muteti said on Satur­day. He spoke dur­ing the burial of Joel Muthoka in Kalaani vil­lage, Nziu. Muteti said JP, whose pres­i­den­tial can­di­date is Uhuru Keny­atta and Wil­liam Ruto the run­ning mate, will field can­di­dates for all po­si­tions. For­mer Kaiti MP Gideon Ndambuki has also de­clared his in­ter­est in the seat.
