Robbers break into Kisumu Huduma Centre offices
Police in Kisumu are investigating a robbery in two Huduma Centre offices manned by Administration Police officers. The building houses the county government offices, including Governor Jack Ranguma’s, and the county commissioner’s office. A laptop and a voice recorder were stolen from the Information ministry offices. Two new CPUs, two laptops and Sh36,000 were stolen at the Immigration offices. The robbers are believed to have broken the main padlocks. County commissioner Mohamed Maalim questioned how the items were stolen, while the building was being manned by officers on night duty. A noncommissioned officer supervised them. “More questions remain unanswered because we are still wondering how the thieves managed to get away with the items,” he said.
