The decision by President Uhuru Kenyatta to nominate Foreign Affairs CS Amina Mohamed for the position of the African Union Commission’s chairperson is welcome. Going by her performance in her docket so far, the CS has undoubtly worked tirelessly and has represented us well in several international forums. She has facilitated a number of high-profile conferences here, giving Kenya a good image at the international level. Other CSs should follow Mohammed in their duties so that they can promote Kenya’s image as well as their careers.
