Fast-track dues for teachers and say sorry for delay
Last week the Pensions department did a commendable job when it told the High Court based in Nakuru that it has started paying retired teachers their longawaited dues. The Pensions director told the court that 400 former teachers of the 32,000 retired tutors representthe first phase of those who will soon receive their money. Since justice David Maraga the court ruled in their favour, the retired teachers have been waiting for these payments for a long time. The government should fast-track the other payments and apologise for the delay.
