Stolen NYS money moved to Faulu and Sidian banks

The Star (Kenya) - - Politics -

At least Sh695 million stolen from the National Youth Service may have been wired through the Guaranty Trust Bank, fresh evidence show.

In new developments around the mega NYS rip off, key suspects in the loot transacted millions through GT bank before the money was moved to Faulu and Sidian banks.

Kenyans could have lost more than Sh3 billion in the scandal and not the Sh791 million.

Money paper trails submitted before the National Assembly Public Accounts Committee in camera, allegedly shows how suspects were paid millions of shillings and the money transmitted through GT bank accounts.

Some of the ultimate recipients of the payments moved from GT bank to Faulu and Sidian banks, are said to be key figures in government and influential politicians from both Jubilee and Cord.
