Man killed, 3 arrested in Naivasha clashes
Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing of a farmer in Kosovo, Naivasha town, in fresh land clashes.
The Naivasha security committee has accused politicians from Narok of using their community to forcibly and illegally obtain land.
On Tuesday evening, a group of Maasai warriors allegedly ferried from Trans Mara in Narok shot dead a 50-year-old farmer and torched houses in Kambi Shetani village.
Communities living on the disputed ADC land have clashed many times over its ownership, leaving seven people dead. Each community is now arming itself for retaliation.
Naivasha subcounty assistant commissioner John Opondo said officers had been dispatched to contain the unrest. He said some suspects have fled back to Narok. Opondo warned the leaders fuelling the violence.
