Top institute fetes Unilever as best employer in Kenya
CYNTHIA ILAKO/ Unilever, the multinational consumer goods maker, has for the fourth year in a row been ranked the leading employer in Kenya by Top Employer Institute, an international certification organisation. “This is an affirmation of Unilever’s commitment to the people and talent agenda through global best practice that strongly resonates across its markets including right here in Kenya,” Unilever CEO for East Africa Justin Apsey said. The institute also ranked Unilever as the best employer in Africa for the third year running, a status solidified by its first-time certification in Zimbabwe, and its top rank in Ghana and Nigeria. Top Employer Institute regional director Africa Samantha Crous said Unilever was part of a select group of employers that advanced employee conditions worldwide this year.
