Duale calls for six-piece vote pattern in JP
Says this would be a show of solidarity with President Uhuru and DP William Ruto
The Jubilee Party plans to achieve a six-piece voting pattern in President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto’s strongholds, National Assembly majority leader Aden Duale has said.
He said JP was formed to strengthen their strongholds across the country. Duale said no party, other than Jubilee, will be supported after nominations in May next year.
Speaking in Thirime Grounds, Kikuyu constituency, on Sunday, he urged all strong aspirants to look for support in the primaries. Duale attended prayers organised by Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa.
Present were MPs Alice Ng’ang’a (Thika Town), Esther Gathogo (Ruiru), Kabando wa Kabando (Mukurweini), Mburu Kahangara (Lari), Jude Njomo (Kiambu), Kigo Njenga (Gatundu North), Moses Kuria (Gatundu South) and Ferdinard Waititu (Kabete).
Others in attendance were Limuru’s John Kiragu, Nominated Senator Be- atrice Elachi, MCAs Binary Wainaina (Kikuyu Town), Nelson Munga (Ndeiya) and Njenga Murugami (Limuru Central).
Duale urged residents to elect leaders who strongly support the government and are conversant with the people’s needs and problems. “This is because we want to achieve the sixpiece pattern. We want governor, senator, MPs and MCAs from JP to show solidarity with Uhuru and Ruto. We don’t want different colours.”
