Deploy police in Tigania East to end insecurity – residents
Tigania East residents have urged the Meru government to deploy police to villages. Led by MP hopeful Josphat Gichunge, they said herders from neighbouring communities raid their farms. “Our people are dying of starvation because they cannot go to their farms. The attacks have become too frequent. We are appealing to the national government to provide them with security to enable them to go back to their farms,” he said yesterday. Gichunge spoke in Tigania East constituency after donating food to residents from semi-arid areas. He said there can be no development without security.
