Bukusu elders propose Wafula replace Wetang’ula
More than 30 elders from the Bukusu community have endorsed Eldoret-based human rights activist Ken Wafula to take over Ford Kenya’s leadership. The elders, led by Maruti Webomba from Matisi, Webuye West constituency, met yesterday in Matisi. They accused party leader Moses Wetang’ula of not giving the community political direction. The elders said the Ford- K Trans Nzoia Senate aspirant should take over.“Wetang’ula planned 10 meetings with us, but he has not honoured any of them,” Webomba said. The elders, drawn from eight constituencies in Bungoma county, said they unanimously endorse Wafula.
