MCA denies county plans to evict Woodley residents
Woodley MCA David Kairu has denied the county plans to evict residents to accommodate MCAs. On Sunday, Woodley Residents Welfare Association chairman Sam Gachagua demonstrated against the eviction reports. Gachagua said Revenue chief officer Nixon Otieno last week told association treasurer Alex Ogut that the county will evict them. “We are not mad to just demonstrate and call conferences without reason. We were informed of the county’s intention,” he said. Otieno did not answer phone calls. The area has about 3,000 units and more than 300 belong to the county.
