We are improving roads to hasten growth — Ongwae
Kisii Governor James Ongwae yesterday said his administration is improving road infrastructure to speed up development. He said 230 kilometres of new roads are being murramed. Ongwae said they target 400km by year-end. He, however, expressed concern they might not meet the target due to encroachment on road reserves. “Whenever engineers move to relocate services on road reserves, disputes arise. This, coupled with heavy rains, slows down construction. Let’s cooperate so we open up roads for improved services,” Ongwae said. He spoke in Gusii Stadium.
