Waqo stripped of agency post

The Star (Kenya) - - Politics General -

EACC chief Halakhe Waqo has been stripped of the chairmanship of the Multi –Agency Task force days after President Uhuru Kenyatta publicly rebuked him of misleading him. His position has been handed over to Attorney General Githu Muigai who will now oversee the operations of the taskforce charged with dealing with among other issues, graft cases and all major investigations in the country. The Multi-Agency Taskforce, popularly known as MAT was formed by Uhuru as a tool to bring under one roof all agencies related to investigations, and to bring collective responsibility among the security agencies when dealing with major cases.
