Evaluation tests okay but not for political mileage

The Star (Kenya) - - Voices -

As soon as the ministry of Education banned mock exams sponsored by Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga, there has been disarray as to whether or not the tests should be done. The thing is, teachers should be allowed to evaluate their students and make appropriate recommendations thereafter. Evaluation tests have been there for long and doing away with them will not offer a longterm solution. There are many ways of evaluating students, however, counties should desist from sponsoring exams for political mileage.
