5 boda boda riders come to the rescue of hunger victims
Five boda boda riders from Mombasa on Sunday rode for more than 100km to the drought-stricken Bamba area of Kilifi county, where they donated food to victims. The riders, based at the Buxton Boda Boda Stage, said they were touched by the plight of the Kilifi residents and had to do something with the little they have. “After watching the news and seeing the drought situation, we were touched,” said Michael Muliga, who led the group. Douglas Mwanzia said they bought four bales of maize flour, one sack of cabbages, a sack of kales and other vegetables, including tomatoes and onions. About 60 people benefitted from the food.
