BILL SEEKS TO BAR INCITERS FROM RUNNING FOR ELECTION
Nkaissery said that to tame politicians from inciting Kenyans, the government will soon take a bill to Parliament so that once passed, it gives the IEBC powers to lock out inciters from running for elective positions. He was accompanied by Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya, MPs Khatib Mwashetani, Zainab Chidzuga, Gonzi Rai and Coast regional coordinator Nelson Marwa. Mvurya urged residents to support Uhuru’s 2017 bid, saying he has played a key role in ensuring the stateless people are registered citizens. He said they can only pay him back by voting for him at next year’s election.
