Three-year-old girl in Naivasha defiled and killed

A three-year-old girl who has been missing for two days was found defiled and murdered in Naivasha. The body was found in the bush on Karagita estate along the Moi South Lake Road. The child went missing on Sunday evening while playing with her friends. Area chief Hussein Guyo urged the public to volunteer any information about the incident to the police or his office. “The search has ended on a bitter note,” he said. Meanwhile, the Public Health department in Nakuru county has said it followed due procedure in burying 19 bodies at the Longonot public cemetery. Residents on Monday gave the county two days to exhume the bodies and bury them elsewhere. They said wild animals from the Mt Longonot National Park exhumed some bodies. Speaking on the phone, Health chief officer Samuel Mwaura dismissed the allegations as baseless and unfounded. He said the grave where the 19 bodies were buried was big enough. “Some people are opposed to bodies being buried at the cemeterybut we currently do not have any other space for a cemetery in Naivasha,” Mwaura said.
