We need unity of Kanu era when we battled division
Our actions during the 2007 postelection violence should have shocked our conscience. Unfortunately, that does not seem to be the case. We are still divided along tribal lines by political leaders. They take advantage of their power of influence and our desperate state of discord. It will be our own undoing if we do not rekindle the unity we exhibited during the Kanu era when fighting for democracy and ending torture. We were united by a common course and that unity was palpable. But today, only a shell of it remains.
