Aspirants told to conduct peaceful rallies
Nyeri governor aspirant Githinji Kinyanjui has urged aspirants to ensure they conduct peaceful campaigns. Kinyanjui said there is no need for violence or hate speech during campaigns, adding that Kenyans should remain united before, during and after elections. The aspirant also urged the youth not to be misused by politicians to start chaos. Kinyanjui spoke in Nyeri town on Wednesday. He urged other aspirants to start projects in Nyeri before they go to the polls to set an example. “Don’t tell us what you will do when you are elected, do it now and show an example of what you will do,” he said. Others eyeing the seat include Patrick Munene and Wahome Gakuru.
